 Snowmobile Adventure Queenstown

A courtesy coach is available to pick you up from central Queenstown or your accommodation. We recommend you dress warm (as if you are going up the ski field), sensible shoes and bring sunglasses and a camera. That’s all you need as we will provide the rest!

This is a two hour fully guided snowmobile adventure. The Snowmobile adventure departs from the helicopter hanger at Queenstown Airport, taking you on an exhilarating 13 minute helicopter flight across the western face of the Remarkables Mountain Range, over the Hector Mountains & across the Nevis River Valley, where you land at the base of the Garvie Mountains.

After landing at the snowmobile base you will gear up for your snowmobile Adventure (we provide warm overalls, helmets, gloves, and boots) and have a Snowmobile safety briefing with your snowmobile guide. Your snowmobile guide will ensure you can operate your snowmobile safely and comfortably. We have a maximum of 6 passengers per trip so you reap the benefits of a small group experience.

You are then lead through the stunning back country by your guide, along the central most inland mountain range in New Zealand, cruising to an altitude of up to 6,000ft above sea level.  Stunning scenery and views will astound throughout the whole experience! With stops along the way for some amazing photo opportunities of the amazing landscape

The snowmobile adventure will move at a pace comfortable for everyone. Our snowmobiles are modern Polaris Snowmobiles, they are easy to operate and your guide is right there if you need any assistance.

Upon arriving back to Snowmobiles base, you will then depart by helicopter back to Queenstown. A courtesy coach is available to drop you off back in central Queenstown or at your accommodation.

Snowmobile Terrain in Queenstown

Snowmobile Adventures take place in the Garvie Mountain Range it is a long way east of the divide, and so best catches snow from the south and east. This means snowmobiling is often great in the early snow season when we get those storms rolling in from that quarter. Have a look at the snowmobile photos in the Garvie Mountain Range to see just how awesome the snow can be. The Garvie Mountains are an excellent location for some wilderness snowmobile adventures.

Wonderful lines can be found in the  Garvie Mountain Range for snowmobiles. Your tour will take you to 3 different stops.

Throughout our snowmobile terrain in  the Garvie Mountain Range of New Zealand each mountain is affected differently by prevailing snow and weather conditions. It is these variations that allow us to customise your snowmobile adventure to suit your skill & experience level, minimise your risk.
